It is a great joy to announce that Maharishi World Peace Parliaments will be commencing this Guru Purnimah, July 2nd, 2004 throughout the world.

Every week there will be an opportunity for a new group to join the parliament in your country and enjoy the benefit.

In every country we will build a Parliament Hall where each group of 108 (or 54) Members of the Maharishi World Peace Parliament will convene for a week twice a year. But even before we build this Parliament Hall, the Maharishi World Peace Parliament can be held in an existing hall or hotel, so that a taste of the benefit and advantages of our knowledge can begin to be experienced now without waiting. International will undertake to meet the expenses of publicity and hall for now, and with the response of the people it should become self-sufficient.

During each one-week session of the Maharishi World Peace Parliament (held from Saturday to Friday) there will be a daily connection by videoconference with the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Holland (see schedule of the connections below), and also there will be opportunities for the Members of Parliament to enjoy intercontinental banquets via videoconference with their fellow parliamentarians from different countries (see schedule of the connections below).

In order for you to have the daily connection via videoconference, you will receive a videoconferencing machine from the Global Country of World Peace. Delivery to your address will probably take place next week. You will need to connect your videoconference unit to a television – basically any television will work, but we are also arranging for a state-of-the-art 42” plasma screen to be delivered to you for ideal viewing.

You will also need to arrange to have a broadband Internet connection, ideally of the speed of 384 kb/sec (both upstream and downstream) and having a fixed IP address. The quality of the videoconference is expected to be better if you have this broadband service from MCI WorldCom. If broadband service from MCI WorldCom is not available in your area, it is preferable to get broadband service from another large international provider, rather than a local provider.

This whole program will be inaugurated on the most auspicious day of the year, the day of Guru Dev, the day of the Vedic Tradition of Vedic masters, Guru Purnimah, July 2nd, 2004; and the first Maharishi World Peace Parliaments will convene everywhere from July 3rd to 10th.
After one week a new group will again convene for a week in your country. This routine will continue for 26 weeks—with a new group convening every week. In the 27th week the first group will come again so that every Member of Parliament enjoys physiological purification at least twice a year, and develops the knowledge of perfect administration—enjoys the concept of globalization to give a lead to his people in his area of influence for more successful and problem-free life.

The connections by videoconferencing with Holland will be held during the Maharishi World Peace Parliaments in the following schedule:

There are two ways of participating in the Maharishi World Peace Parliament: By becoming a Member, and by becoming an Honourable Guest. Please find enclosed a letter you can send to the thinkers and important leaders of society in your country. It will be good to send them the letter and go and meet them.

As you will see in that letter, it is necessary to register and use a credit card in order to watch the sessions as a Member of the Maharishi World Peace Parliament or as an Honourable Guest of the Maharishi World Peace Parliament, but the daily sessions will be open on the internet at:

for a few days starting July 2nd to allow you some time to receive your videoconferencing machine and to allow some time for the Members and Guests to register.
